Enterprise Search Server
MaxxCAT enterprise search servers are highly optimized hardware devices that when coupled with our open software, can be customized to meet the needs of any business' unique scenario. Currently MaxxCAT offers two models of enterprise search servers - the entry-level SB-250 and the enterprise-level EX-5000.
SB-250 Enterprise Search Server
The original hardware from MaxxCAT targeted at small businesses, the SB-250 is an entry-level enterprise search server that offers an extreme performance solution at an entry-level price. The SB-250 utilizes the same simplistic setup and customization features as the enterprise-level EX-5000 enterprise search server. There are only two connections - "power" and "network," and enterprise solutions with the SB-250 can usually be installed in as quickly as 15 minutes. In addition to lifetime perpetual use, the SB-250 enterprise search server has an unlimited number of maximum searchable documents and the ability to crawl third-party sites.
The SB-250 enterprise search server comes with an affordable startup price of $2,995. The hardware has 240GB of indexed storage at an index speed of 140MB/min. Capable of query speeds of 2,500 queries per minute (QPM), the SB-250 enterprise search server can handle countless data formats including (but not limited to); HTML, XML, Office, PDF, PPT, mySQL, SQLserver and Oracle. The SB-250 enterprise search server can perform up to 10 simultaneous crawls and has a 100 Megabit Ethernet connection.
In addition, the SB-250 can be upgraded by simply adding additional SB-250 or EX-5000 enterprise search servers to your rack. This means that as your business grows, so too can MaxxCAT's ability to build on to your specific enterprise search server needs.
EX-5000 Enterprise Search Server
The EX-5000 enterprise search server is geared towards large business and available in six models. MaxxCAT's EX-5000 enterprise search server offers all of the basic features of the SB-250 - ease of use and installation, unlimited document collections and the ability to crawl third-party sites. Because its needs are more demanding, however, the EX-5000 enterprise search server bulks up on performance.
The EX-5000 enterprise search server has a startup cost of $8,995, which also includes lifetime perpetual use. There is more indexed storage in the EX-5000 than its entry-level counterpart at 1 - 4 TB, and subsequently the index speed is higher at 1,270MB/min. Search queries are performed at an astonishing 12,500QPM, and the EX-500 can perform up to 80 simultaneous crawls. Additionally, the EX-5000 enterprise search server can handle all of the same data formats as the SB-250 and has a 1 Gigabit Ethernet connection.
The EX-series of enterprise search servers comes with advanced options like the ability to find all documents with semantic fingerprinting, slicing of query returns into facets and data filtering to search subsets of data.
The EX-5000 series of enterprise search servers also has the ability to be tailored specifically to a certain business' needs with the addition of extra racks or a BobCAT database connector with full, incremental and continuous crawls modes and mySQL, SQLserver and Oracle supported databases.
